Handcrafted with a Damascus steel blade the Tahoe Basin Hunt For Life Hunting Knife features a Ladder pattern that is pleasing to the eye. Damascus steel is not only strong and durable but with the combination of different metals, the technique used in making the steel allows the Craftsman to make unique designs on the blade. This blade has been folded from between 300-350 times and combined with the clip point style this knife makes a one of a kind piece. You will notice that the blade is not the only part that has been constructed of Damascus steel, the guard and pommel is as well. The handle is made from smooth and polished bone with wood and brass accents. Bone is a very good material for knife handles as it is durable, fairly easy to shape and can be very attractive. It is one of the most common handle materials used for pocketknives and paired with Damascus blades. To house your blade a leather sheath that has been hand sewn is included. On the sheath is a belt loop, a place to stash a sharpening stone, and Hunt For Life emblem that can also be found on the blade.
